West Texas Deaf Olympics

The mission of West Texas Deaf Olympics is to provide a fun, safe, accessible event for parents, students and staff. We provide opportunities to promote connections with resources, people, and agencies that serve the d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. We hope that by including volunteers organizations and local schools,  we help raise the awareness of d/Deaf issues leading to collaboration and partnership within the community. Our event is open to any d/Deaf or HOH student ages 3 to 18 years of age and their families. We do not discriminate on the basis of communication skill or mode--we honor all modes of communication, whether spoken or visual.

By giving students and families a day to be with others in the Deaf community, we hope they will forge friendships and build support systems for the future.
