3. Grading Procedures:
ENGLISH: Students will be encouragedbut not required to correct tests. Ifthe test is corrected correctly, the student can earn back half the pointsmissed. These corrections will be madeduring advisory period or at home. SOCIAL STUDIES: Students will not be allowed to correct a test. Rather, they will be offered a retest. The original grade and the retest grade will then be averaged. Thesecorrections can be made during advisory period or at home. SCIENCE: Students will be requiredto make test corrections if they make a grade below a 60. Students will be allowed to make test corrections if they make a grade above a 60. If the test is corrected correctly, thestudent can earn back half the points missed. These corrections can be made during class time, advisory period, or athome. MATH: Students will be requiredto make test corrections if they make a grade below a 70. Students will be allowed to make test corrections if they make a grade above a 70. The original test grade will be recordedtwice. The first recorded grade shall remain the same. If test corrections are made correctly, thestudent can earn back half the points missed. This corrected test grade willreplace the second grade recorded. These corrections can be made during class, during advisoryperiod, during tutorials before or after school, or at home. ELECTIVES: Students are required to make test corrections if the test grade is below a70. Students are allowed to make test corrections if they make above a 70.Theoriginal grade and the test corrections grade will be averaged. Thesecorrections can be made during the advisory period. Special Education: Students will be required tocorrect a test if the grade is below a 70. Students will be allowed to make test corrections if they make above a70. If the test is corrected correctly, the student can earn back half thepoints missed. These corrections willbe made during advisory period.
